NEW BERN, N.C. (AP) — Police in New Bern say they have arrested a 17-year-old male from Craven County in a hit and run death last month.
Police told local media outlets that the Cove City teen was arrested Thursday and is charged with felony hit and run in the death of 37-year-old Tina Marie Franklin. Investigators say Franklin was hit May 29 by a vehicle the teen was driving as she walked along a road.
Franklin was taken to a hospital where she died.
