INDIAN LAND, S.C. (AP) — The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating after two people were killed in a five-car collision in Lancaster County.
Patrol Lance Cpl. Tony Keller tells local media outlets the accident happened about 1 a.m. on Saturday on U.S. 521 in the community of Indian Land not far from the North Carolina state line.
Lancaster County Deputy Coroner Karla Knight-Deese identifies the victims as 29-year-old Michael Reid of Lancaster and 28-year-old Jacob Beasley of Waxhaw, North Carolina.
Several other people were injured but their conditions were not immediately known.
