CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Authorities have arrested an 82-year-old Charlotte man and accused him of killing his 79-year-old wife.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say in a statement that Charlene E. Norris was found dead in her home Thursday morning of a gunshot wound.
The victim’s husband, James N. Norris, voluntarily went to police headquarters for questioning, where he was subsequently charged with murder.
It is unclear whether he has an attorney to comment on the charge.
