Hundreds assembled in downtown Rockingham to protest against homophobic language used in a social media post by a Richmond County representative.
Those participating in the march to Richmond County and ensuing sit-in were part of the group Project Elijah, which formed after a now Richmond Senior High School graduate was the target of a social media post by County Commissioner Andy Grooms.
