Police: Man shot after he threatened to drive into home


FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Police say a man has been shot in the throat after threatening to drive into a home in Fayetteville.

Fayetteville police tell media outlets that the incident happened at home Sunday afternoon in west Fayetteville when the unidentified driver had an argument with a resident at the home and then threatened to drive into the home.

Police say that’s when the driver was shot by another man.

Police say the shooting victim was taken to a hospital and was in critical condition.

Authorities say the man involved in the shooting has been taken into custody. Officials have not released his name or said what charges, if any, he may be facing.
