WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) — Wilmington Police are investigating after a Harnett County woman was found dead in a hotel in the city.
Local news outlets report that police on Monday identified the victim as 21-year-old Ashley Ann McLean of Lillington.
Police say she was found Friday afternoon in a hotel in Wilmington when officers responded to a report of a woman with no pulse in a guest room.
The cause of death was not immediately released but police say the case is being investigated as a homicide. No arrests have been made.
