RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Police say a 19-year-old man has been arrested in a shooting at a Raleigh sports bar that left one woman dead and another injured.
Multiple news organizations report Raleigh police say Jonathan Roman was taken into custody and charged with murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill in connection with Saturday’s early morning shooting at Mambo 69 Sports Bar.
Authorities say officers arrived at the scene around 4:30 a.m. and found 22-year-old Felipe Nerve Gonzalez Arrellano and 22-year-old Diana Medelin Ibarra-Luna both shot.
Police spokeswoman Laura Hourigan says both victims were taken to the hospital, where Ibarra-Luna died from her injuries. Arrellano was treated and released.
It isn’t immediately clear if Roman has an attorney.
