FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) — A suspect has been arrested in the death of a woman shot while walking along a Fayetteville street.
News outlets report Fayetteville police say 30-year-old Christopher David Lee was taken into custody Thursday and charged with first-degree murder in the death of Angela Taylor.
Police say 32-year-old Taylor was shot while walking Tuesday evening. She died at a local hospital Wednesday from her wounds.
Police had been trying to identify a motorcyclist caught on surveillance cameras leaving the scene after the shooting.
Lt. Todd Joyce had said it appeared the woman was involved in an argument with the shooter just before the incident.
It isn’t immediately clear if Lee has an attorney.
