CARTHAGE, N.C. (AP) — Deputies are investigating the second homicide in as many days in Moore County west of Fayetteville.

Local media outlets report that deputies were called to the scene of a shooting in the community of Eagle Springs about 5:30 a.m. Thursday.

A man had been shot to death and the sheriff’s office said a suspect is being sought. The name of the victim was not immediately released.

Authorities say that on Wednesday, 76-year-old Dallis Kellis was found shot to death at his home in the community of Aberdeen.

No arrests have been made in that shooting.
