PORTLAND, Mich. (AP) — A man wanted in North Carolina for a 2014 homicide has been captured in Michigan.

The U.S. Marshals Service says 26-year-old Tyler Prudden was armed when he was arrested Tuesday as he attempted to drive away from an apartment in Portland, 25 miles west of Lansing.

The Marshals Service says Prudden is charged with involuntary manslaughter in Onslow County, North Carolina. He’ll be held at the Eaton County jail in Charlotte, Michigan, while his extradition is pending.
