Mr. Kenneth Gene Smith, 51, of 130 Perry Leviner Road, Rockingham, died, Monday, January 21, 2013 at his residence.
He was born October 10, 1961, in Richmond Co., son of Gene Smith and Eva Mae Grooms Smith.
He was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and previously worked as a mechanic at Sandhurst Mills.
Visitation will be Friday, January 25, 2013 at Harrington Funeral Home, from 6:00-8:00 pm.
Funeral will be Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church at 2:00 pm with Rev. Sonny Hall, Bishop Marvin Taylor and Rev. Tom Rippy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his mother, Eva Mae Grooms Smith of the home; daughter, Courtney Smith of Hamlet; son, Brandon Hardee of Rockingham; brother, William Thomas Smith and wife Mattie of Rockingham; sisters, Cathy S. Godwin of Rockingham, Mary Jane Heaton and husband J.R. of Rockingham & Priscilla S. Teal of Rockingham; and granddaughter, Alexis Locklear of Hamlet.
Harrington Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Smith Family.
