Janice Stricklin Jones, age 56 of Laurel Hill passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Janice was the daughter of the late Cecil T. and Dorothy Richburgh Stricklin born May 11, 1956 in Camden, South Carolina. She was a dedicated employee with the Laurinburg Exchange and served as a member of the Sneads Grove United Methodist Church. Janice dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. She loved decorating, caring for her animals and especially enjoyed shopping.

She was also preceded in death by a young son, Jason Jones and her brother, Tommy Stricklin.

Janice is survived by her husband, Cory Jones of their home in Laurel Hill; sons, Cory L. Jones, Jr. and wife Faith C. Jones of Rockingham, Jeremy Jones of Laurel Hill; her grandchildren, Gabrielle Jones, Trae Jones and Jeremy Jones, Jr.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.

The family request that memorial gifts be made in memory of Janice to the Scotland County Humane Society, 1401 West Blvd, Laurinburg, NC 28352.
