Sarah Anderson Williamson, 83, of Poplar Avenue, Hamlet, died, Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at Rockingham Manor.
Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 27, at First United Methodist Church, Hamlet, from 10 to 11 a.m. with the funeral beginning at 11 a.m. with Rev. Debra Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow at Mary Love Cemetery, Hamlet.
At other times, the family will be receiving friends at the Paul Anderson Home, 118 Cloud Avenue, Hamlet.
She was born July 1, 1929, in Atlanta, Ga., a daughter of Arthur J. Anderson and Katherine Stockwell Anderson. Williamson was a member of The First United Methodist Church of Hamlet and formerly a supervisor for Southern Bell Telephone Company. She is preceded in death by her late parents; her husband, Wilbur Monroe “Bill” Williamson; brothers, Carl, James and Robert Anderson; sisters, Katherine Greene, Jessie Pagels, Marjorie Carmichael and Hanella Donahue.
Survivors include her brother, Paul Anderson of Hamlet; and a sister Mary Carter of Hamlet.
In lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made in Williamson’s memory to: First United Methodist Church of Hamlet, 300 Charlotte Street, Hamlet, NC 28345.
