Hattie Wall Baldwin, 88, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, at Mt. Pisgah AME Zion Church, Rockingham. Rev. Vivian Williams will be the Eulogist. Interment will follow at Stelly’s Tabernacle AME Zion Church cemetery, Rockingham.

Public viewing will be held Thursday, Dec. 6, from 1 to 6 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, Rockingham.

She was born Dec. 29, 1923, in Rockingham, to the late Daniel Wesley Wall and Sally Owens Wall. Baldwin was a member of Stelly’s Tabernacle AME Zion Church in Rockingham. She attended local schools in Rockingham. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Baldwin, two daughters, Carolyn McDonald and Beverly Baldwin, one grandson, Gerald Watkins, five sisters, Ardelia, Daisy Jane, Lula, Crystal Bell, and Julia, and four brothers, Ephraim, Isiah, Jeremiah and John Wall.

Baldwin is survived by three sons, Cecil Wall of Capital Heights, Md.; Herman and Calvin Baldwin of the home; two step-sons, James Cameron of Charlotte, and Mack Cameron of Durham; five daughters, Patrick Baldwin, Maxine B. Rose, Mollie B. Watkins, Andrea B. Cooper and Helen Baldwin all of Rockingham; 31 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Nelson Funeral Home of Rockingham, is assisting the family.
