Hattie Mae Robinson, 84, of 128 2nd St., Ellerbe, died May 24, 2012, at Rockingham Manor.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 28 at 2 p.m. at Sidney Grove Church of Deliverance, 401 McIntyre Road, Ellerbe, with Bishop Arlester Simpson officiating. Burial will follow at Sneed Grove Church Cemetery in Ellerbe.

A public viewing will be held on Sunday, May 27 from 1:30 to 7 p.m. at McLendon Funeral Home, 1429 Green Lake Road, Ellerbe.

The family will be receiving friends at the home of Archie and Addie Robinson, 207 2nd St., Ellerbe.

Mrs. Robinson was born Oct. 23, 1927, in Richmond County to the late Baxter and Elizabeth Nicholson. She worked in textiles at Commonwealth Hosiery and was a member of Sidney Grove Deliverance Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Robinson; two daughters, Hattie Pearl Robinson and Catherine Powell; three sons, Eugene, Donnell and Johnny Robinson; and one adopted son, Bernie Ellerbe.

Survivors include seven sons, Clayton, James, Archie, Leroy, Wendell, Robert and Danny Robinson, all of Ellerbe; three daughters, Brenda Chambers, Karen Faye Robinson of Ellerbe and Mary Spencer of Rockingham; one brother, Charlie Nicholson of Cambridge, Md.; 46 grandchildren; 80 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

McLendon Funeral Home is serving the Robinson family.
