Mr. Jerry Franklin Cobbler, 60, of 147 Elizabeth Lane, Ellerbe, died, Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at First Health Richmond Memorial Hospital.
He was born February 10, 1952 in Richmond County, son of Aldy Cobbler and Frances Belton Cobbler.
Mr. Cobbler previously worked at Vulcan, was a member of Mt. Calvary Rock of Ages Church and a former member of National Guard.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 26, 2013, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Harrington Funeral Home.
The Funeral will be Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Mt. Calvary Rock of Ages Church at 2:00 pm with Rev. Eddie Hildreth, Rev. Donnie Nuttall and Rev. Gary Richardson officiating.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Junior, Jack and Charles Ray Cobbler; sister Bennie Hill; grandchildren, Paige Davis and Jeremy Jacobs.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Greene Cobbler of the home; daughters, Kimberly Hairfield of Hamlet, Terri Grant of Rockingham and Jerri Evans of Pinehurst; step-daughter, Kayla Barber of Ellerbe; step- son, Aaron Howell of the home; brothers, Jimmy Cobbler and Thomas Cobbler both of Hamlet; sisters, Nancy Hayes of Rockingham, Bernice Poplin of Hamlet, Bobbie Richardson of Rockingham, Louise Bell of GA. and Shirley Carlisle of Ellerbe; and ten grandchildren.
