James Nelson Gibson, Jr., 51, of Ledbetter died Saturday, January 19, 2013 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
James was a member of Cartledge Creek Baptist Church, after having been a member of Ledbetter United Methodist Church for many years. He was a Service Technician with Grid One. Prior to this, he worked in the Richmond County School System.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 23rd at Ledbetter United Methodist Church with Rev. Donnie Davis and Lee Griffith officiating. Interment will follow at Richmond Memorial Park.
James was the son of the late James and Betty Gibson; husband to Rita; father to James III (Trey), Chris, and Kate Gibson; brother to Amy Porter and Lynn Gibson; and uncle to Jonathan Porter.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Ledbetter United Methodist Church.

James was a devoted husband and father. He was loved and respected by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
