The North Carolina Peach Growers’ Society will host its annual meeting Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hampton Inn in Aberdeen at 200 Columbus Dr.

There will be a variety of topics presented such as Pest Management, Weed Control, and Crop Insurance. The cost of the meeting is $35 and also includes lunch.

There will also be a pre-meeting workshop held Monday at the Sandhills Research Station located at 2148 Windblow Road, Jackson Springs, at 1 p.m. Interested parties can learn how to prune their peach trees, orchard establishment and ground cover management.

Participants should dress to accommodate weather conditions outside. This workshop is free to the public and is available to all interested parties.

If you would like lodging, meeting, or workshop information, call the Cooperative Extension Office at 910-997-8255 and speak to Paige Burns, Horticulture Agent.
