Heather Lynn Wyatt, left, from Rockingham and Ellerbe was recently sworn in to the Hamlet Police Department. She is a 2012 graduate of Richmond Community College BLET. She had the highest GPA in the class. Wyatt also graduated from UNC-Pembroke in August of this year where she earned a double major in criminal justice and sociology. She is currently employed at Dr. Arnold’s Office in Rockingham. Wyatt also works part-time at Dixie Burger in Ellerbe.

Jamorine Dejour Bowden was recently sworn in to the Hamlet Police Department. He is from Candor, and a 2012 graduate of the Richmond Community College BLET. Bowden is also a certified N.C. EMT and a Fire Fighter 1. He was employed with Longworth industries as a ware house manager. Bowden currently volunteers on the Candor Fire Department and Star Emergency Medical.
