Sandy Jewelene Bowman and Jeffrey Scott Wright were united in marriage on July 17, 2010, at First Baptist Church, Ellerbe, with the Rev. James Brown officiating.

The bride’s parents are Shelby and Billy Bowman of Rockingham. Her grandparents are Faylene and the late Grady O’Dell Bowman of Liberty and the late Henry Johnson and Alma Lene Sands of Rockingham.

The groom’s parents are Jane Nast of Lake Orien, Mich. and Richard Wright of Hamlet. His grandparents are Patricia and the late Wallace Leonard Wright of Hamlet and Levina and the late Frank Nast, Jr. of Texas.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Richmond Senior High School and a 2010 graduate of Richmond Community College with an associate degree in Arts. She is currently enrolled at R.C.C. to pursue a degree in Nursing. The bride is employed at Liberty Nursing Services in Rockingham as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

The groom is a 2002 graduate of Richmond Senior High School and graduated basic law enforcement training program at Richmond Community College in Feb. 2010. He is currently employed by Allegiance Security Group of Hamlet.

The bride was given in marriage her father, Billy Bowman. The bridal gown was a white cathedral length ball gown with a beaded bodice and beaded and lace cathedral train. The bridal veil was white with beaded trim and the flowers were white lilies, ivy, white and purple roses with purple and white tulle ribbon.

The Maid of Honor was Natalie Rice of Burlington. Her dress was an eggplant formal floor length spaghetti strap dress with a shear frontal opening and shear eggplant shawl.

Bridesmaids were Stacy Taylor Bowman of Rockingham, Jessica Hyde of Ellerbe, and Tiffany Valk of Windblow. The late Tammy Moore Noah was remembered by placement of flowers and was named an honorary bridesmaid.

The junior bridesmaid was Shania Twain Dixon of Rockingham.

Flower girls were Gabrielle Chantelle Cassidy of Cole Ridge and Iliana Harmon of Aberdeen. Honorary flower girl was Rachel Nichole Valk of Windblow.

The best man was Wallace Wright, II of Michigan. Ushers were Samuel Bowman of Rockingham, Derek Harmon of Aberdeen and Richard Wright of Hamlet. The junior groomsman was Christian Rosheid Cassidy of Cole Ridge. The ring bearer was son of the bride and groom, Henry Wallace Wright.

The organist was Barbara Brown of Ellerbe and the soloist was Rachel brown of Ellerbe. Audret Richardson of Ellerbe was the wedding director.

The reception was held in the fellowship hall of the church. The couple honeymooned in White Lake. The couple will make their home in Hamlet.
