Mrs. Braddock was born July 19, 1926 in Topeka, Kan., a daughter of the late Donald and Eda Ray Robison. She was a member of Glenwood Free Will Baptist Church and had retired from Burlington Industries.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Braddock and a grandson, David Braddock, II. Her beloved dog, Rusty, died in the fire that contributed to Mrs. Braddock’s death.
Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy Braddock, David Braddock, Robbie and Diane Braddock, Donald and Ginny Braddock, all of Rockingham; daughters and son-in-law, Patty and Johnny Newton of Virginia, Sharon Jimenez of Hamlet; grandchildren, Carrie Newton Kelly, Joannie Newton Pike, Christy Benton, Christy Braddock Pankey, Jacqueline Braddock, Justin Braddock, Josh Braddock and Jordan Jimenez and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, at Glenwood Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. David Lee and Rev. Johnny Newton officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park.
The family will see friends from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., Friday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at Robbie and Diane’s home, 1084 Battley Dairy Road, Rockingham.
