I am a fan of the local libraries in this area.
Why would anyone not want to keep them open? Friday, once again, I took my grandchildren to the last day of summer reading. What fun it was. I had never seen so many children coming and going at one time. We got there a little early for the show, visited the newly painted children’s room and checked out some books. Then we waited our turn to see what I would call an adventure in animals. There was a hedgehog, (a great story to go with it), a box turtle, a lizard that does not drink water and a snake that made the adults back up and children smile.
Ms. Debbie was right up front showing the children how not to be scared and along the way was trying to get the adults also to touch it.
“No way,” most of them said. Right beside her stood Ms. Peggy, a little scared of the snake, but still right there making sure that everyone had a great time.
Next year when I come to visit, my vacation will be during the time of summer reading. My daughter appreciates the fun and education that this women are presenting to the community, my grandchildren love the hugs they get and I love just watching, learning and laughing at my age.
I will be there next year. Good job library ladies!
