This letter is directed to the sorry thing that threw a pitbull dog out by the road near Oakridge Church Road and McGirt road.

I would call you all manners of nasty, very nasty things except the Journal won’t print the words.

This poor dog had the mange, a broken leg; her head scared and cut from abuse; you could see every bone in her body. But yet she was so sweet. When I told her to get in the car, she made the attempt but had to be helped. I took her out to the shelter as I cannot take on another dog at this time. But please if there is anyone that can take her, please do.

People that throw out animals, trash and won’t care for their own children aren’t worth anything. I pray that you suffer the same treatment as this poor dog.

You will be blessed for what you did. A lot of people would have left that poor dog to die. I also believe that what goes around comes around. That person will surely get their's in this life or the next.

Thank you for doing the right thing to help this poor animal. I am a dog lover and it breaks my heart to learn of any animal abuse. I have four "children" all of whom I adopted. Hopefully the shelter will be able to return this poor unfortunate back to health soon. Bless you for your act of kindness and you will receive it back ten fold one day.

Thank you for this letter. My family took in a stray puppy that was left for dead by the road almost a year ago. The poor thing was so eat up with the mange, it was terrible! We took him in and started treatments at the Vet immediately, even though we didn't have the extra money to do so. Today, he is the most beautiful thing you have ever seen and a proud member of our family! I am a true believer of what goes around, comes around. These mean and cruel people WILL answer for their actions one day!

An all-too common occurence in a society that has such little regard for life. The sad thing is that the person who did this 1) doesn't subscribe to the RCDJ 2) would immediately skip the LTTE section anyway 3) if he did happen to glance @ the letters, he would more than likely be unable to read them with any level of comprehension or fluency thus missing the intended message 4) If he did get someone to read for him, he wouldn't care what was said b/c of the inability to empathize

We are commanded to pray for people such as this, but if he chooses not to confess his sins and beg forgiveness from Jesus, I'm sure there will be an extra-hot section of hell reserved for him.

Thank You Barbara for taking the time to take this little dog to the shelter. They may not be able to save her life but they will TRY !

The folks there do an EXCELLENT job and deserve more praise than they ever receive. The funding is so low, but they do what they can with what they have.

God Bless THEM and YOU for helping.

People who abuse animals are capable of doing ANYTHING and deserve severe punishment for doing so BUT.....it goes almost un-noticed !
