LIBERTY — Riley Wallace Sweatt, Sr., 75, of 4840 Mint Hill Dr., Liberty formerly of Franklinville, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010 at his residence.

Funeral services, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Thomas Johnson officiating.

Burial will be at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery in Wallace, S.C.

He was a Richmond County native, retired from Capel Rugs, had served in the National Guard and attended the Church of God of Prophecy. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Amanda Jo Sweatt.

Survivors include his wife, Sadie Strickland Sweatt, of the home, daughter, Tammy Sweatt of Randleman, sons, Riley Wallace Sweatt Jr. of Franklinville, Charles Sweatt of Randleman, William James Sweatt of Ramseur, Donald Sweatt Sr., Ricky Sweatt and Terry Sweatt Sr. all of Liberty, sister, Mattie Sweatt Parrish of Franklinville, 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Loflin Funeral Home in Ramseur and at other times at the home of William Sweatt, 4724 Huntingwood Road, Apt. 47, Ramseur.
