He was born on Oct. 11, 1946 to Frank Woodrow Davis Sr. and Annie B. Metz Davis in Hamlet
He graduated from Monroe Avenue High School, Class of ‘64. He also attended North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro. He was employed with B&O and lastly with CSX.
Viewing will be held on Monday from 1-7 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Service in Rockingham.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009 at noon at First Baptist Church in Hamlet, with Pastor, Grainger C. Davis officiating.
Burial will follow in the Richmond County Memorial Park in Rockingham.
He is survived by his wife Ruth; children Lisa, Kevin, Jennifer and Latifah; mother, Annie B. Davis; brothers, Frank W., Donald L. and Albert L.; sisters, Velma and Pamela and five grandchildren
Nelson Funeral Service in Rockingham is in charge of services.
