SOUTHERN PINES — The Pinecrest men’s soccer team scored three goals in the first half and three more in the second half to down Richmond 6-0 in a Southeastern Conference Tournament semifinal game Wednesday night.

“We did a poor job of marking up in the back,” Richmond coach Bennie Howard said.

Howard added that it was a very physical game between the two teams, as Richmond (11-9-1) received five yellow cards and Pinecrest was issued four.

According to Howard, the Raiders have an outside chance of receiving a wild card berth into next week’s NCHSAA 4A State Playoffs.
