Chambers is survived by his sons Clinton Chambers, Jr. and Calvin Chambers, both of New Haven, Conn.; two daughters, Polly McCauley of Hoffman and Lauri Chambers of New Haven; two sisters, Esther McLean and Evelyn Crawford, both of Addor; his brother, Macon McMillan of Greensboro; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Sept. 19 at 1:30 p.m. at the Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Addor. Elder Carl Core will be officiating the service. A burial at Wayne Cemetery in Addor will follow.
Visitation will be held on Friday at Jones and Little Chapel in Aberdeen from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m.
