Mrs. Parker was retired from the textile industry, having been employed with Gilead Manufacturing and United Mills. She was a member of Concord United Methodist Church and attended Rockingham Wesleyan Church.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, August 6th at Rockingham Wesleyan Church with Rev. Phillip Huber and Rev. Henry Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Concord United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at 170 Mill St., Rockingham.
Surviving are two daughters, Dorothy Watts and husband Bernie of Rockingham and Joyce Bass and husband Tommy of Robbins; a daughter-in-law, Doris McIntyre of Rockingham; grandchildren, Jacqueline Preslar, Sharon Bass, Donna White, and Lisa Love; great-grandchildren, Brannon Preslar, Brian Preslar, Kevin Richardson, Samantha Martindale, William Martindale, Hayley White, and Hannah White; great-great-grandchildren, Sarah Beth Wallace, Madison Richardson, Brady Preslar, and Ansley Preslar. Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by husbands, Marshall Smith McIntyre and Floyd Parker; and a son, Marshall Neil McIntyre.
