Richmond County Commissioner Pam Dillman has been appointed vice president of the Women of National Association of County Commissioners Leadership Network.
In making the appointment, Julia W. Gouge, WON president, said “our network will benefit greatly from your service.”
She said that as a group of women it was important to “strive for unity, offer experience, support and encouragement to women officials nationwide.”
Gouge wants to increase NOW membership from 116 to 150.
“Your spirited and outgoing personality will attract new members,” she said. “With your leadership, we can move this organization forward.”
In addition to presiding at meetings in the absence of the president, Dillman will be responsible for long-range planning of the organization and assist with various tasks involved in its operations.
Dillman is also co-chairman of the airport board for the Transportation Board of the National Association of County Commissioners.
