She was born June 7, 1922, in Newberry, S.C., to the late Mark and Carrie Summers Oxner. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. L. B. Quick.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 27, at Mt. Calvary A.M.E. Zion Church with the pastor, Dr. David McLendon officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Rockingham.
Surviving are two sons, Terry Quick of Charlotte and Napoleon Quick of Monroe; three daughters, Zenboia Quick-Heggins of Monroe, Gladys Baldwin of Ellerbe and Esther Quick of Hamlet; a brother, Johnny Oxner of Monroe; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Public viewing will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Grier Funeral Chapel, 740 Walk-up Ave., Monroe.
The body will lie in state one hour before the service.
