Cody Wilson allowed three hits and struck out four to earn the win in Hamlet’s 16-0 victory over East Hoke Tuesday afternoon.
Andrew Fehlman and Elijah Goodwin were both 2-for-2 in the game.
The victory improved Hamlet’s record to 7-0 on the season and they return to action Thursday at Anson.
Rockingham knocks off Anson
The Rockingham Middle School boys’ soccer team defeated Anson 4-2 on Tuesday.
Tyler Kirk, Tad Hamilton, Jose Venegas and Matt Pettitt each scored a goal for the Rockets, while Akib Khan, Hamilton and Venegas each registered an assist. The Rockets’ goalkeeper Xavier Brown finished with five saves.
