NCDOT contractors will be turning off the water on a portion of Marvin McCaskill Road in Ellerbe to tie in a new relocated water line, prior to a new bridge replacement. Water will be switched off Tuesday, March 19, no earlier than 8 a.m.

The Richmond County Water Department will also be present in the area to tie in the new relocated water line. This will necessitate cutting the water off for more of the day.

It is suggested that a bathtub be filled to provide water during the time services are cut off. To preclude the possibility of a damaged hot water heater it is suggested that the hot water heater circuit breaker in your electrical entrance be turned off until water services have been restored. If the entrance panel uses fuses, simply remove the fuse.

In the event inclement weather prevents the work on Tuesday, the repair will be completed at another time.
