Katharine Inez Kaplan, 87, of Raleigh, NC passed away February 24, 2013.

Katherine is survived by three daughters Linda Kaplan Thompson and husband Al of Raleigh, NC, Leatrice Myers and husband John of Albany, NY, and Bonnie Brauer and husband Evan of Rochester, NY; five grandchildren Todd Thompson and wife Kay, Paul Thompson, Annie Myers, Katie Myers, and Max Brauer; one great-grandson Porter Thompson; three brothers Ronald Singletary and wife Yvonne of Rockingham, NC, Richard Singletary and wife Robin of Southport, NC, and Keith Singletary and wife Rita of Rockingham, NC; and an aunt, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of her life will be held by family and friends on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 12pm at The Eastgate Community Center, at Eastgate Park, 4200 Quail Hollow Drive, Raleigh, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to The Raleigh Rescue Mission, 314 E. Hargett St. Raleigh, NC.
