Dear Editor,

It has been a couple of weeks since our almost accident.

We were moving furniture with a trailer hooked to the back of our truck. Within a few blocks of our home the trailer started moving out of control. The trailer released itself from the frame and moved in traffic.

We immediately pulled to the side of the road. My husband hopped out to get the trailer. The trailer was moving in the other lane to on coming traffic. As Paul approached the trailer and to his right was a young man. This man saw the problem and immediately jumped out of his truck to help us retrieve the trailer and move it out of traffic. He said “I am on my lunch break, let me go to work down the street and get some tools to help secure the trailer to get it back on the road.”

It only took him a few minutes to return with what was needed. He moved very fast and pulled himself under the trailer and secured all bolts needed to put us back on the road.

He stopped to help someone he did not know that was in trouble. Jeremy Mabe works at Dieffenbach Chevrolet.

Paul and I want to tell him, he is our hero. We could not have gotten out of this situation without his keen observation and fast reaction.

This young man was our angel.

Just thought we all should know there are angels everywhere helping us.

Thank you again, Jeremy Mabe.
