The fourth commandment is about being set-apart. He is set-apart, his Sabbath is set-apart as all his commandments are, and we are to be set-apart. 2 Corinthians 6:17-18/Isaiah 52:11
“Therefore, come out from among them and be separate, says Yahuweh, and do not touch what is unclean, and I shall receive you. And I shall be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says Yahuweh the Almighty.” Exodus 20:8-11
“Remember the Sabbath day to set it apart. Six days you labour (work for wages, physical or mental exertion, toil), and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of Yahuweh your Elohim. You do not do any work-you, nor your son, nor your daughter. For in six days Yahuweh made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh days.
Therefore Yahuweh blessed the Sabbath day (verse 11 refers back to Genesis 2:1-3) and set it apart.” Isaiah 66:22-24 “For as the new heavens and the new earth that I make stand before me, declares Yahuweh, so your seed and your name shall stand. And it shall be that from New Moon to New Moon, and from Sabbath to Sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship me, declares Yahuweh. If we are to observe the Sabbath in the new heavens and new earth should we not be doing so now?
There is no clear command anywhere in the scriptures by Yahushua, who has supreme authority, that changes or abolishes his set-apart Sabbath. Man has usurped that authority and we had no right to do that. “Remember” has not changed.
