The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office recently arrested Ronnie Dwayne Spruiell, 33, of Willett Road, Sanford, and Malcolm Trumaine Williams, 33, of North Gill Street, Zebulon, for robbery with a dangerous weapon, according to arrest reports. The pair were arrested after they allegedly committed a robbery at a local convenience store on Dec. 1, 2012. They were identified after going through a license check station in Lee County. Richmond County detectives went to Lee County and the two were charged with the robbery. Both were placed in Lee County Jail under a $30,000 bond for Richmond County. They are also being held in Lee County on local charges there, lawmen said.

In an unrelated case, Jamie Luke Ott, 27, of Gathings Street, Hamlet, was arrested on two counts of breaking and entering, two counts of larceny after breaking and entering, and obtaining property by false pretense on Dec. 5, 2012, according to arrest reports. Ott allegedly broke into two houses, one located on Maggie Drive on Oct. 23, 2012, and one on Middle Street that occurred on Nov. 7, 2012. He also allegedly sold property that was stolen. Ott was placed in the Richmond County Jail under a $100,000 secure bond.

Joseph Swies, 31, of Beeler Avenue, Hamlet, was arrested on three counts of selling and delivering cocaine, on Nov. 26, 2012, according to lawmen. Swies allegedly sold cocaine to officers. He was placed in the Richmond County Jail under a $40,000 secure bond.

Marvin Gaye Lindsey, 41, of Leak Street, Rockingham, was arrested on three counts of selling and delivering a schedule III substance on Nov. 21, 2012, according to arrest reports. Lindsey allegedly sold prescription pills to officers. He was placed in the Richmond County Jail under a $15,000 secure bond.

Dominic Ellerbe, 41, of Leak Street, Rockingham, was arrested on three counts of selling and delivering a schedule III substance on Nov. 20, 2012, according to lawmen. Ellerbe allegedly sold prescription pills to officers. He was placed in the Richmond County Jail under a $20,000 secure bond.

Brynton Jones, 22, of Washington Avenue, Hamlet, was arrested for possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana on Nov. 9, 2012, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Jones allegedly possessed marijuana packaged to sell. He was place in the Richmond County Jail under a $1,000 secure bond.

Billy Ray Steele Sr., 70, of Morgan Circle, Hamlet, was arrested for selling and delivering a schedule III substance on Nov. 21, 2012, according to lawmen. Steele allegedly sold prescription pills to officers. He was placed in the Richmond County Jail under a $5,000 secure bond.

Decario Antawn McKinnon, 23, of Jordan Lane, Hoffman, was arrested for possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance on Nov. 23, 2012, according to arrest reports. McKinnon allegedly sold marijuana to officers. He was placed in Richmond County Jail under a $1,000 secure bond.

Rodney Jarvis Everett, 24, of Derek Street, Rockingham, was arrested on four counts of trafficking cocaine, maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance, possession of a stolen firearm and carrying a concealed weapon on Dec. 12, 2012, according to the Sheriff’s Office. He was placed in Richmond County Jail under a $150,000 secure bond.

In the same case, Quentin Antonio Wall, 27, of Westwood Drive, Rockingham, was arrested on 11 counts of trafficking cocaine and three counts of maintaining a dwelling and vehicle for a controlled substance on Dec. 12, 2012, according to lawmen. The Sheriff’s Office and State Bureau of Investigation arrested the pair after an investigation into the pair allegedly trafficking cocaine throughout the county. Wall was placed in Richmond County Jail under a $500,000 secure bond.

Maurice De’Anthony Steele, 21, of South Long Drive, Rockingham, was arrested for distribution of cocaine on Dec. 3, 2012, according to arrest reports. Steele was arrested on federal indictment charges. He was taken to the federal courthouse in Winston-Salem, and turned over to the U.S. Marshal Service and held without bond, lawmen said.

John Charles Magee, 55, of Wall Street, Hamlet, was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm on Dec. 3, 2012, according to arrest reports. Wall was arrested on federal indictment charges. He was taken to the federal courthouse in Winston-Salem, and turned over to the U.S. Marshal Service and held without bond, lawmen said.

Gregory Sixto Gomez, 26, of Broad Street, Hamlet, was arrested for felon in possession of ammo on Dec. 3, 2012, according to arrest reports. Gomez was arrested on federal indictment charges. He was taken to the federal courthouse in Winston-Salem, and turned over to the U.S. Marshal Service and held without bond, lawmen said.

Arrest reports published in the Richmond County Daily Journal are copied from local law enforcement records. Reports include both arrests and criminal summons such as citations. The Daily Journal lists them all as arrests. People charged are presumed innocent until determined to be guilty by a court of law.
