The Richmond County Human Relations Council made donations to two charities to help make Christmas brighter for local children. The group presented $250 each to the Back Pack Pals program and to the Richmond County Schools Homeless Program.

The Back Pack Pals program ensures that eligible children have food to take home over the weekend and during the Christmas break.

The homeless program provides vital necessities and Christmas gifts to homeless students. The Human Relations Council’s motto is “Unity Through Diversity.” It advocates fair treatment and encourages understanding and respect among all citizens.
