Lottie Mae Croom Ussery, 93, of Ellerbe, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, at Ellerbe Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Thompson officiating. Interment will be held privately.

The family will see friends following the service at the church and other times at the home.

Ussery was born April 7, 1919, in Clinton, a daughter of the late John Ezra and Rosa Mae Newton Croom. She was a member of Ellerbe Fellowship Baptist Church, had worked as secretary to the Director of the National Youth Administration in Ellerbe and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Vivian Carlee Ussery.

Surviving are her husband, Marshall Ussery of the home; sons, Robert M. Ussery Jr., William Ussery and Steven Ussery; daughter, Jean Ussery; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Joseph Croom, J.P. Croom; and sister, Phyllis Steele.

Memorials may be made to Ellerbe Fellowship Baptist Church, Building Fund, 138 Wallace Road, Ellerbe, NC 28338.
