As construction continues inside Discovery Place KIDS–Rockingham, this week brought a shiny new sign to the downtown location on Washington Street. DKP is a new interactive children’s museum that will provide creative learning-through-play opportunities for children and their caregivers. Expected to draw visitors from across the Sandhills region, the museum is expected to open in early 2013.
