Dear Editor,
The letter carriers of Jacksonville, are collecting plastic bottle caps to help kids ten-years-old or younger to receive free cancer chemo treatments whose parents cannot pay for them. For every one thousand plastic bottle caps a doctor will give one free treatment.
We would like to thank each and every one that helped us collect and deliver to the letter carriers of Jacksonville. On Oct. 11, 2012, thirty nine thousand, nine hundred and forty-two (39,942) were collected. This sum will cover thirty nine plus treatments.
Special thanks to Antionette Flowers, a Rockingham Letter Carrier, for providing transportation for the caps.
