Candidate for North Carolina Senate Gene McIntyre, in response to a Daily Journal candidate survey, did indeed include a 50-word personal statement in a separate document which was inadvertently overlooked.
This is his statement: “Gene McIntyre supports regulatory reform and lower taxes for job creation. Gene McIntyre supports funding education reform for quality and effective programs to ensure an educated workforce. Gene McIntyre understands smart management of tax dollars. Gene McIntyre is for efficient and effective government for the people.”
