Dear Editor,
Day by day goes by, yet I’m still looking for a job.
People that I know, and some that kind of do drugs and are drunks, yet they can get by with jobs. They’re drawing two to three different kinds of unemployment at the same time and get away with it.
But with a simple girl like me, that has two small children, not doing drugs or drinking, nor drawing unemployment, can’t find nothing.
I just don’t get how the state or the government let this stuff get by. Even places that say, “We drug test.” Apparently, they don’t because Rockingham is a very small town and I know a lot of people and see them get by with a drug test, or the managers don’t have a care at all.
Believe it or not, it’s non-sense and it’s crazy how they can’t even get caught. Do you think that I wanna be on welfare and child support? No, I don’t. I wanna be able to find a job and support my children the right way, not be on food stamps or Medicaid or spending my child’s little bit of money to make ends meet. Just sucks because the people that are doing wrong are taking all our jobs and it’s not right.
