Warren Joseph Tremaine McKenzie, 19, of Hood Street, Rockingham, was arrested and charged with selling/delivering marijuana on Aug. 17, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office. McKenzie was placed in Richmond County Jail under a $5,000 secured bond.

In an unrelated case, the Sheriff’s Office arrested Phillip Aaron Smith, 34, of Plymouth Circle, Hamlet, for selling/delivering a schedule II controlled substance. Smith was charged on Aug. 17 for allegedly selling prescription pills, and was placed in Richmond County Jail under a secured $5,000 bond.

Brian Devonte Dowdy, 17, of McGirt Road, Hamlet, was arrested on three counts of extortion, common law robbery, conspiring to commit common law robbery, second degree kidnapping, three counts of resisting a public officer and two counts of communicating threats, the sheriff’s department said. Dowdy was charged on Aug. 17, after he repeatedly extorted money from the victim in Hamlet, lawmen said. He allegedly received a total of $1,100 before the incidents were reported. Dowdy was placed in Richmond County Jail under a $500,000 secured bond.

In the same case, Qadree Lamar-Evans Armstrong, 18, of Raleigh Street, Hamlet, was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office on two counts of extortion, conspiring to commit common law robbery, common law robbery, second degree kidnapping, two counts of resisting a public officer, and communicating threats. Armstrong was charged on Aug. 17, after he repeatedly extorted money from the victim in Hamlet, lawmen said. He allegedly received a total of $1,100 before the incidents were reported. Armstrong was placed in Richmond County Jail under a $500,000 secured bond.

David Glen English, 53, Ponderosa Drive, Hamlet, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to sell/deliver and maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance. Authorities said English was arrested on Aug. 14, after he was stopped by a deputy for speeding on Highway 177. A K-9 unit was called to English’s car. Deputies said they located 14 grams of crack cocaine hidden under the center console. English was placed in Richmond County Jail under a $20,000 secured bond.

Weldon Earl Little, 31, of Henderson Drive, Ellerbe, was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office for allegedly selling/delivering marijuana and cocaine on Aug. 16, after law enforcement purchased both substances from his residence. Little was charged and placed in Richmond County Jail under a $5,000 secured bond.

Catherine Rayshaan Ingram, 41, of Boone Street, Rockingham, was arrested and charged for selling/delivering marijuana. Ingram was arrested on Aug. 16, after officers purchased the substance from her at her residence, lawmen said. Ingram was placed in the Richmond County Jail under a $5,000 secured bond.

Rodney Alan Brock, 22, of Highway 74 East, Hamlet, was arrested on charges of breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods, and obtaining property by false pretenses. Brock was arrested on Aug. 15 after lawmen said he broke into a residence on Malloy Drive in Hamlet. He was placed in Richmond County Jail under a $5,000 secured bond.

Steve Little, 37, of Fred Harris Road, Wallace, S.C., was arrested on charges of selling/delivering a schedule II substance. Little was charged on Aug. 10, for allegedly selling prescription pills. He was placed in Richmond County Jail under a $5,000 secured bond.

Arrest reports published in the Richmond County Daily Journal are copied from local law enforcement records. Reports include both arrests and criminal summons such as citations. The Daily Journal lists them all as arrests. People charged are presumed innocent until determined to be guilty by a court of law.
