The Richmond County Water Department will be in the Roberdel and Ledbetter areas on Wednesday, Aug. 22, to repair a leak and a dropped valve.

According to Terry Richardson, Water Maintenance Supervisor, this work will require cutting the water off for most of the day. Streets of outage include Roberdel School Road, Ledbetter Road, Hall Road, Green Lake Road and all adjacent streets in this area. Services will not be turned off any earlier than 8 a.m.

The water department suggested that residents in the area fill a bathtub to provide water during the time services are cut off.

To avoid the possibility of a damaged hot water heater, the department suggested turning off the hot water heater circuit breaker in your electrical entrance until water services have been restored.

If the entrance panel uses fuses, Richardson said, simply remove the fuse.

In the event inclement weather prevents the work on the above date, the repair will be completed at another time.
