Amy Elizabeth Smith of Rockingham and Joshua Lee Horton of McColl, S.C., were united in marriage on July 21, 2012. Pastor Gene Alexander officiated the ceremony at the Wallace Lodge in Laurinburg.
The bride is a graduate of Jesus Is Lord Christian School and received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She is employed with Richmond County Schools at Fairview Heights. Amy is the daughter of Larry and Robyn Smith of Rockingham.
The groom is a graduate of Marlboro County High School and later received an Associate’s Degree in Computer Networking from Florence Darlington Technical College. He is employed with Time Warner Cable in Rockingham. He is the son of Carla Horton of McColl, S.C., and Jimmy Horton of Florence, S.C.
During the ceremony, the bride was given in marriage by her father, Larry Smith.
She chose Erica Radford of Fraklin Springs, Ga., as her Maid of Honor and Ashley Smith of Rockingham as the Matron of Honor. Other bridesmaids included Niki Propst of Kodak, Tenn., Angela Bowman of Rockingham and Calli Goodwin of Cheraw, S.C.
Gracie Smith and Carlie Knight, both of Rockingham, served as flower girls while Eli Thompson and Lukas Horton, both of Rockingham, were the ring bearers.
The groom chose Garrett Daniel of Raleigh as his best man. Other groomsmen were Adam Smith of Rockingham, Brian Thompson of Rockingham, Brian Horton of Rockingham and Robin Hurley of Bennettsville, S.C.
A reception followed the ceremony at the Wallace Lodge.
The couple traveled to Montego Bay, Jamaica, for a wedding trip, and currently reside in Rockingham.
