Holli Cherie Hodges and Justin Drew Brown were united in marriage on May 12, 2012. Minister Nic Jackson officiated the 4 p.m. ceremony at the Rockingham Church of God of Prophecy.
The bride is the daughter of Allen and Teresa Hodges. She is the granddaughter of Bill and Janice Hogan and Nick Hodges and the late Shirley Hodges. Holli is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Mathematics education and is employed with Andy’s and Richmond Community College.
The groom is the son of Gene and Vicki Brown. He is the grandson of Alvin and Edith Blake and Sara Brown. He is the great-grandson of Ruby Whitley. Justin is employed with Import Auto as a mechanic.
During the ceremony, Holli was given in marriage by her mother and father. Weston Wilson served as the organist.
She wore an ivory strapless satin ballgown made by Oleg Cassini, featuring overlapping laser-cut floral appliques and horizontal bands across the skirt. The bride carried a bouquet of sunflowers and baby’s breath.
Loni Wilkerson served as the Matron of Honor and wore a coral reef T-length gown. Other bridesmaids included Nikki Brown, Chelsea Gibson and Haley Jackson, who all wore different coral reef T-length gowns in the ceremony.
Zoe Parker was the flower girl and wore a yellow T-length dress.
The groom chose his father, Gene Brown, as his best man. During the ceremony, ushers wore tuxedos with coral reef vests and ties. Chosen as ushers were Derek Brown, Mitchell Hodges and Ben Billingsley.
Wyatt Wilkerson served as the ring bearer.
Also assisting in the ceremony were directors Angel Mabe and Crystal Cottle, as well as Brittnee Floyd, who assisted with the guest registry.
