Dear Editor,
The Saturday block party in Hamlet was filled with fun, educational information, free food and clothes, and gospel singing.
I do not know the name of the church that put this event on but they truly did a wonderful job. We received info from mental health aurora, health dept, girls will, kings gate church, drugs and alcohol.
This was the first block party that I have ever attended. There were so many games for kids to play! I hope there will be more events like that one this summer.
Like I said, I didn’t get the name of the church that sponsored the block party, but if you guys are reading this you did a great job Saturday.
