WWII and Korean veteran RT “Jimmy” Brigman got 2,700 flags to distribute across Richmond County on the graves of other veterans. He could not do the job by himself, so he enlisted the help of several veterans organizations and youth groups.

“I want to thank them,” said Brigman. “They helped me so much. They were so sweet and did just what I asked them to.”

Of the 2,700 flags, 742 were placed on graves at Richmond Memorial Park cemetery.

Brigman extends his gratitude to those who contributed monetarily to the fund he used to purchase the flags. He also extends his gratitude to the youth for the time they spent with him.
