Belle Shankle, pictured here with a basket of baby caps, has always wanted to make baby caps for the babies at Richmond Memorial Hospital. She finally made her dream come true. Mrs. Shankle lives at Somerset Court Assisted Living Facility in Hamlet. She is pictured with Niki Hye, Nurse Manager, and Kelly Phillips, RN.

According to Betty Kester, Activity Director of Somerset Court, Mrs. Shankle enjoys crocheting and can crochet scarves, toboggans, afghans, doilies, and just about anything. Mrs. Shankle received permission to visit a mother and her baby and give the newborn boy a blue hat. She is pictured here with new mom, Gloria Garris, and newborn, Landis. Kester said it was a fun adventure visiting the hospital and babies, and that Somerset Court would like to thank Allison Duciworth, COO for allowing this opportunity.
