With summer coming soon, it’s time to make sure children are eating healthy while school is out.

Faith Assembly Outreach Ministries will provide free meals to children during the summer from June 13 to July 12, 2012. This year, they plan to serve breakfast and lunch.

Meals will be served each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. for breakfast and from 12 to 1 p.m. for lunch.

Tuesday, June 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. will mark the first day of the ministry, located at the Dobbins Heights Community Center, 195 Daniels St., Hamlet. If the location is changed, the meals will be held at Faith Assembly Outreach Ministries, 148 Daniels St.

This is expected to be a great time filled with food, fun and friends. Reading and math are also included as part of the summer program.
